Where did you find the window switch for less than £15, eBay people selling it for £50 ish. Any shop names appreciated , thanks man.

first of all Thanks for such a useful video. Useful video . there is an issue almost the same with my fabia combi 2003. Mine the driver side buttons include side mirror and central locking. The central lock works but with the remote key, and i checked the fuse that was in good condition and i checked the wires there was electric just at one wire that is all. What could be the prob. Thank you.

I own this car too. This particular Skoda had the moisture problem from the factory itself. Have seen a lot of them facing this similar issue. Anyways just need to give you a temporary tip if at all you are struck in a situation where you have to close the windows and you can’t. Remove one of the battery terminals for at-least 1 hour and connect it back again. This resets the memory of the car and every will start working normally for a while again.

As a bonus, now your windows are water repellent :) My driver door switch stopped working, can't open or close any of the 4 windows, and the buttons light doesn't work. So I'm guessing it's probably a broken cable.

Hi! I have the exact same car, and it’s driving me nuts....... Both windows and mirrors have no power, I’ve checked the fuses, checked the wiring (no breaks) the motor is good, I’ve changed the switch. Not sure what else it could be? I’ve literally spent around 8 hours trying to discover the problem and it’s seriously making me want to smash it up with a hammer 😏 any clues?

Recently had an issue with power to the drivers door. Guess what it was?? Chaffed wires. Exactly where you pointed out. Crap design. Car is up for sale. Not having that. Very very poor.

I am well aware there was way too much waffling and stalling in this video, so below I have listed the summary of the 4 different causes of the window fault I had expearianced, and shortcuts to that part of the vid. 1) Door wiring harness - 1:10 2) Faulty window switch - 2:18 3) High glass friction (hot weather) - 4:14 4) Bad motor adapter plug pin connections - 6:20 Hope this helps everyone.

Thanks mate! My left passenger side window was not working yesterday. You got me thinking- so I used the depress open on key fob to make windows come down. This morning both work! And when I use switch (when ignition is on at least 1) it also works. No need for trip to garage. Thanks again.

got fabia mk1(EU steering),left window don't work ,right work at right doors,door lock/unlock works,try with new switch parts,don't work,now it is electric worker problem :)

I have a SKoda Roomster same issue but keep fixing it and still not able to fix even Skoda did not fix it so far...

first you cut the roots as deep as you can all around the stem in a circle. then you just pull it out gently with two tractors linked in a chain.
